Dalvin Cook signs with the Ravens Before Week 18

Dalvin Cook signs with the Ravens for playoff run.

The Baltimore Ravens are loading up for a playoff run in hopes of finally winning a Lombardi trophy. Thursday heading into week 18 the Ravens signed former pro bowl RB Dalvin Cook to the team.

Cook signed with the New York Jets in the offseason in hopes of riding Aaron Rodgers coattails to a championship run. Unfortunately that dream died in week 1 when Rodgers tore his Achilles on the first possession of the year. The Jets have since cut Dalvin Cook due to his truly poor performance with the team. Cook however has not given up on his hunt for a ring, and has now landed with top AFC Contender Baltimore.

The Ravens have had plenty of stuggles keeping their RBs healthy the past few years, so adding veteran depth makes sense for the squad. Although Justice Hill and Gus “Bus” Edwards figure to continue being the 1-2 punch the Ravens deploy in the playoffs. Cook is well cooked and he shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than insurance at this point of his career.
