Christian Watson
Christian Watson Put on the PUP

The Packers are placing several players, including WR Christian Watson, on the active/physically unable to perform list ahead of training camp.

Despite showing signs that he’s recovering from a Week 18 ACL tear in early January, Christian Watson has been placed on the PUP list ahead of training camp. Watson suffered this latest injury very late in the calendar year, and so it was surprising to see the 26-year-old already running routes in June, as captured via social media.

Watson has been very productive while on the field. He averages just over 10 PPG in PPR leagues throughout his career. He has been one of the most fragile players in all of fantasy in three seasons with the Packers, however. He’s missed 13 games in that span, suffering 10 different recorded injuries.

Trying to pick the eventual WR1 in the Packers offense will be tough heading into 2025. If Christian Watson can get back into the swing of things before too long, he’ll have as strong a chance as any to be the team’s best fantasy option on the outside. He’s still young with size and speed, meaning he’s always a threat when he’s on the field.
