Penn State Product Demeioun “Chop” Robinson has been drafted by the Dolphins with the 21st pick in the NFL Draft.

Robinson, who is affectionately known as “Chop,” has carried his childhood nickname into his athletic career, embodying its essence through his tenacious play. He first showed promise as a freshman at Maryland and later became a disruptive force at Penn State.

The prospect’s 4.48 run at the NFL Combine marked him as a standout edge rusher at 6’3″ and 254 pounds. Sometimes, Robinson’s ability to distribute pressure as an Edge rusher did not reflect in his stats. After spending a year at Maryland, he transferred to Penn State. In his debut season, he played 12 games and managed to get 26 tackles and 5.5 sacks. He had similar production in his final year in 2023 racking up 15 tackles and 4 sacks in 10 games for the Nittany Lions.

Being drafted with the 21st pick, Chop will look to make an immediate impact with the Dolphins as an electric edge rusher. The dolphins need all the help they can get with Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips recovering from significant season-ending injuries. Chop might be used early and often and will look to make his mark in South Beach.
