Cam Ward’s draft stock is safe as he skips the throwing workout at the NFL Combine.
Miami quarterback Cam Ward is not participating in the throwing drills for the 2025 NFL Combine. Cam Ward most likely got the word from scouts, general managers, and his own team internally that his NFL Draft stock is safe.
In lieu of throwing at the Combine, Ward will opt to throw at his own personal Pro Day. The tides are turning to where players have more agency in the NFL Draft process. Fantasy gamers who were looking to see Cam Ward throw should have an easy time viewing any of his games across his college career, which provide a more reliable basis for evaluation.
Ward is 6’2’’ and 223 pounds and is built to hold up to the physical demands of the NFL. He can extend plays and throw from any angle on the field. His aggression can get him in trouble at times and limiting turnovers will be an initial challenge against much more challenging defenses. While several teams should have interest in Ward, the Tennessee Titans and New York Giants stand out as they have the No.1 and No.3 overall pick in the first round respectively.
