Bub Means
Bub Means Shines in OTAs

A surprise 5th round pick by the saints last years, Means had one solid game before an injury derailed his rookie season

Bub Means was on nobody’s draft radar before he was selected by the Saints. While he only had one year of production in the ACC, he was the best receiver on his team – leading Pitt in yards and touchdowns while averaging 17.6 YPR on 41 catches. In reality, day 3 receivers hardly ever pan out, however Bub Means does have the physical traits we look for in late round breakouts, a 4.43 40 and an 82nd percentile burst score on a 6’1”, 212lb frame is close to ideal.

Hearing about his “Eye-catching progress” at OTAs is exactly what we want this time of year. Reports about how he’s improved as a route runner, his hands and concentration, along with his speed still being there after recovering from injury are all good indicators. Means is going undrafted in basically every format and is free in Dynasty. He’s not a player you should target in traders but he does make a great stash in deep leagues or a solid last round pick in best ball.
