Bijan Robinson says the plan for him in 2024 is to be utilized in a manner similar to Christian McCaffrey in San Fransisco. When elaborating further, Bijan spoke of being utilized as a traditional running back on early downs while on latter downs being used in creative ways out of the backfield via the passing game. 

This is welcome news as it signals a potential increase in snap share for Bijan Robinson. In order for Bijan to mimic anything close to Christian McCaffrey he will need to stay on the field and share less of the backfield with the reliable Tyler Allgeier. 

Head Coach Raheem Morris wants to deploy Bijan Robinson as much as possible. While we can’t expect Tyler Allgeier to be completely irrelevant, this news is music to the ears of Bijan drafters who expect him to take the next step in his sophomore campaign. 

While his 2023 targets were 3rd at the running back position, Bijan Robinson was 19th in carries with 214 and 32nd in red zone rushes with 31. Look for Tyler Allgeier’s 186 carries in 2023 to slim down in favor of Bijan Robinson in 2024.
