Bayshul Tuten 2025 NFL Draft Prospect & Senior Bowl Preview
3 weeks ago

Virginia Tech RB Bayshul Tuten is ready to become a household name.

If there is one running back in the 2025 draft class that showcases just how deep the class is, it’s Virginia Tech’s Bayshul Tuten. The 5’11”, 209 lb RB with 4.3 speed has, somehow, flown under the radar, despite three outstanding collegiate seasons. It’s likely that he will be the biggest draft riser in this pre-draft period that includes the Senior Bowl, the Combine, and pro-days.

Tuten broke out as a Sophomore, a HUGE indicator of NFL success, with 1363 yards rushing and 31 backfield catches, albeit at North Carolina A&T. He transferred to VA Tech and rushed for 1159 yards and a 6.3 YPC, while adding another 23 catches, in his final year.

Tuten can be a bruiser, despite his mid-size frame, has excellent receiving ability, and is extremely explosive. He will thrive in a power run scheme as his lateral agility is not at an elite level, but as a Day 3 pick, he could easily take over a team’s backfield in a 3 down role, depending on the landing spot.
