Austin Reed signs With the Bears as an Undrafted Free Agent
2 months ago

The Chicago Bears have signed Western Kentucky quarterback Austin Reed as an Undrafted Free Agent.

You would be shocked to see who was one of the most productive quarterbacks over the last two seasons, and it was none other than Austin Reed. During that span, Reed tossed for 8,086 yards, 71 touchdowns, and 22 interceptions. Reed also rushed for 324 yards and 12 additional touchdowns.

Reed measures at 6′-1 1/2″ and 220 lbs at the NFL Combine. He has good vision and hits his timing routes at a decent rate. Reed earned a 5.62 Prospect Grade and a Next Gen Stats Total Score of 70.

With Reed signing as an Undrafted Free Agent, he is mainly a project and will compete for a depth position behind first-overall pick Caleb Williams. In shallower single-quarterback dynasty leagues Reed should be left on the undrafted in your rookie drafts. Only in the deepest of two-quarterback/super-flex leagues should only be considered as a flier pick in the last round.
