Adonai Mitchell
Adonai Mitchell Drafted 52nd Overall by the Indianapolis Colts
1 week ago

The Colts have drafted Texas Wide Receiver, Adonai Mitchell, with the 33rd pick in the 2024 NFL draft.

The Colts land an athletic freak in Mitchell, who ran a blistering 4.33 40-yard dash at the NFL combine to go along with tremendous vertical and broad jump measurements. He slides in the draft to the 52nd pick, much later than the mid-first round grade most experts gave him.

Mitchell showed inconsistencies on the field at Texas, and had an interesting answer to a combine interview question earlier this offseason, where he admitted to not playing full speed on every snap. He plays with an undeniable smoothness, but has red flags from an advanced-analytics perspective.

Mitchell joining the Colts will have an immediate impact on Alec Pierce. His solid draft capital indicates he will be on the field early and often, leaving Pierce an afterthought. He’ll have an uphill battle to produce meaningful fantasy production and faces strong target competition from Josh Downs and Michael Pittman. Fantasy Managers should explore other options than this physically gifted rookie to chase upside in the later rounds of redraft leagues.
