A.J. Brown Dealing with Hamstring Issue

A.J. Brown has been sidelined once again by a hamstring issue.

Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown is again sidelined by a hamstring issue. Head Coach Nick Sirianni said Brown is “working through some things” when asked if he suffered a setback after missing practice Thursday. While Sirianni is vague in his response, the hope is that it’s a minor issue and that Brown can return to practice and be ready for Week one. The initial one-week return timeline implies low severity and, therefore, low re-injury risk.

Brown is the focal point of the Eagles’ passing game, and if the team looks to repeat as Super Bowl champions, that will not change. He had a “down” year compared to his first two seasons with the Eagles, finishing with 67 receptions, 1079 yards, and seven touchdowns. A reason for the decline in production is the season that free agent signing, Saquon Barkley had. With a new offensive coordinator in the City of Brotherly Love, we can expect a more balanced attack and a rebound in production from Brown.

With an Underdog ADP of 17(WR10), many fantasy managers are not phased by this hamstring issue or last season’s dip in production.
