The San Francisco 49ers selected wide receiver Junior Bergen from the University of Montana with the 252nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Mostly known for his electrifying special teams play, Bergen holds the FCS record for most career punt returns for touchdowns (8) and boasts a school record average of 16.71 yards per punt return.  Of his 8 touchdown returns 3 of them were just last year on only 10 punt returns.  

While Bergen’s primary role with the 49ers is expected to be as a return specialist, his dynamic playmaking ability could translate to offensive opportunities. In fantasy, his value comes mostly in leagues that reward return yardage and touchdowns. In standard PPR formats, his impact may be limited unless he carves out a significant role in the offense.
