RB Nicholas Singleton, Penn State

Nicholas Singleton is a senior running back at Penn State who has been a consistent force in the Nittany Lions’ backfield since 2022. Hailing from Shillington, Pennsylvania, the 6-0, 224-pound back has racked up three straight seasons with over 1,000 yards from scrimmage. He’s solidified himself as one of the most dependable players in college football.

Singleton entered Happy Valley as a highly-touted recruit and has lived up to the hype with his steady production, physical style, and versatility. His blend of speed, size, and vision has made him a foundational piece of Penn State’s offense. Whether running between the tackles or slipping out for a screen pass, Singleton is always a threat to make something happen.

2024 Season

In 2024, Singleton delivered another standout season. He rushed for 1,099 yards and added 375 receiving yards, while scoring 17 total touchdowns.

His ability to contribute in both phases of the offense has been a huge asset for the Nittany Lions. Singleton checks nearly every box for an NFL-caliber running back. He’s strong enough to break tackles, quick enough to beat defenders to the edge, and skilled enough to be a legitimate weapon in the passing game. His improved receiving production has added a valuable layer to his game, making him a true three-down back. No matter the situation, Penn State knows it can lean on Singleton for steady yardage and explosive plays alike.

Draft Prospects

Looking ahead to 2025, Singleton remains in a familiar role. He will split the backfield with fellow standout Kaytron Allen. But that hasn’t stopped either of them from producing at a high level. The workload and opportunity haven’t changed, and neither has Singleton’s ability to make the most of every touch.

As Penn State sets its sights on a national championship run, Singleton is expected to be a central figure in the offense once again. All he’s done since arriving on campus is produce, and there’s no reason to believe that won’t continue in his senior campaign. If he keeps up his current trajectory, Singleton will enter the NFL Draft as one of the most accomplished and pro-ready backs in the class.
