The 2026 dynasty Round 3 of rookie drafts is where the sharpest fantasy managers separate themselves from the least of their jabroni league mates. The early rounds are about talent and draft capital, but this range is where traits, opportunity, and situation begin to matter just as much as anything else. Finding the right combination of upside and pathway to touches is how contenders find usable depth and sometimes dynasty league-winning value.
Several of these prospects have already generated buzz throughout the pre-draft process, including combine invites and strong analytical profiles. Check out the latest episode of “The Futurecast” to see the first two rounds of picks:
Continuing from where we left off, let’s see what could transpire in the next round. The latter rounds of the draft determine your dynasty fantasy football savvy. Managers face the internal struggle between choosing the “safe” player who should have a role or swinging for the fences on raw athleticism. There remain pros and cons to each; managers should pay careful attention to the tape, not simply geek out over highlight reels.

2026 Dynasty Draft Targets | A Breakdown of Round 3
3.01 | Malachi Fields | Wide Receiver, Notre Dame
Malachi Fields looks like the prototype of a modern outside receiver with the size and catch radius to win in contested situations. He’s not just a jump-ball specialist, either, because his movement skills allow him to separate enough to keep defenses honest. His future quarterback will need to build trust so that he can become the big target option he is capable of. If the red-zone role materializes early, Fields could quickly outperform his rookie draft slot.
3.02 | Tanner Koziol | Tight End, Houston

Tanner Koziol is the kind of tight end fantasy managers quietly fall in love with during the season. If I were to plant a fantasy flag on a player in this article, it would be the tight end from Houston. He wins with size, reliability, and an understanding of how to settle into open space. A trait that tends to earn trust from quarterbacks quickly. Tight ends often develop slowly, but Koziol’s receiving profile gives him a realistic path to sneaky volume in short order.
3.03 | Skyler Bell | Wide Receiver, UConn
Skyler Bell plays the game at full speed and brings juice after the catch. Bell is a fun prospect, especially if he lands with a space-friendly offense. His ability to separate underneath and turn short passes into chunk gains gives him a clear role as a chain-moving slot weapon. If the landing in a more creative offensive spot, Bell could become a weekly flex option faster than expected.

3.04 | Antonio Williams | Wide Receiver, Clemson
Antonio Williams offers a blend of polish and versatility that makes him easy to project into a pro passing game. He consistently finds soft spots in coverage and plays with the kind of awareness that quarterbacks appreciate. Williams may not always be flashy, which is why he will be available in round three of your rookie draft, but he has the skill set to find production at the NFL level.
3.05 | Nicholas Singleton | Running Back, Penn State
Nicholas Singleton remains one of the most physically gifted backs in the class, capable of turning small creases into explosive plays. His blend of speed, size, and receiving chops makes him an intriguing swing this late in rookie drafts, particularly for managers looking for some upside. He will probably find himself in a committee early on, so his value will be depressed.
3.06 | Ted Hurst | Wide Receiver, Georgia State
Ted Hurst brings vertical ability and field-stretching upside. Traits that often translate into splash weeks for fantasy managers. His ability to win downfield adds an element of unpredictability that can create spike week potential, so he will have inflated value in best ball formats. The floor on a prospect with this profile is low, but the ceiling provides intrigue that cannot be ignored.
Ted Hurst plays long. Big frame, big catch radius, wins in the red zone. High-points it naturally. Eats up cushion with long strides and closes on corners fast. More than a possession guy, can run after catch. Day 3 value with real upside. #Browns pic.twitter.com/B1yFCiexxC

3.07 | Jack Endries | Tight End, Texas
Jack Endries profiles as a potentially reliable underneath option who does the little things well. You know the kind of tight end who finds ways to stay on the field. While he may not command massive target volume early, his steady skill set gives him a pathway to consistent involvement. That type of role can quietly become valuable in deeper formats.
3.08 | Deion Burks | Wide Receiver, Oklahoma
Deion Burks brings quickness and route-running skills that allow him to create separation without relying solely on speed. He projects as a receiver who can contribute from multiple alignments, giving him flexibility in how offenses potentially deploy him. A future roster clogger is in his range of outcomes for sure but late in round 3, Burks is worth taking the chance. Burks offers appealing explosiveness and vertical ability that could translate into spike week fantasy value. Wide receivers with the ability to stretch defenses often find situational roles early in their careers, particularly in offenses that prioritize spacing and speed.
3.09 | Taylen Green | Quarterback, Arkansas
Taylen Green is one of the more fascinating upside bets in this range thanks to his rare size and mobility combination. Quarterbacks who offer rushing ability always carry additional fantasy appeal, and Green has shown flashes of playmaking both inside and outside the pocket.

If the passing consistency develops, the payoff could be significant, and even as a spot starter, he will carry value. If Malik Willis can work to find his way into fantasy consistency, then Green is worth a 3rd round pick.
3.10 | Demond Claiborne | Running Back, Wake Forest
A small back that plays with urgency and burst, Demond Claiborne does a solid job of pressing the line of scrimmage and forcing defenses to react quickly. His ability to create yardage through acceleration makes him an interesting depth option for fantasy managers targeting players with some upside. Opportunity often drives running back value, and Claiborne will have to work his way to touches, but his profile has hit before.
3.11 | Brenen Thompson | Wide Receiver, Cincinnati
Few players in this range can match Brenen Thompson‘s pure speed, which alone gives him a pathway to relevance in best-ball and deeper dynasty formats. His ability to stretch defenses vertically creates big-play potential that fantasy managers are always willing to stash. It only takes one long touchdown to swing a matchup and that alone is why Thompson will be a popular pick later in rookie drafts.
3.12 | Garrett Nussmeier | Quarterback, LSU
Garrett Nussmeier offers intriguing developmental traits as a passer capable of pushing the ball downfield with confidence. Quarterbacks selected in this range don’t need to start immediately to hold value, especially in Superflex formats. If he earns an opportunity in the right system, patience could be rewarded. Tickets are still available to the Nussmeier roller coaster ride.
Choose Your Target
Round 3 is when dynasty managers start deploying the “YOLO” method. Identifying players with some upside or paths to finding consistent touches. Round 3 is where managers reach for their guy and take a stance on a fringe prospect. Obviously, the picks taken in the first two rounds make the biggest differences in fantasy leagues. However, in the later rounds, the already strong contenders can maintain their dominance in the fantasy league. As we all know, dominating fantasy leagues brings a level of joy to our lives that few other things do.
