The Arizona Cardinals have chosen to reward last season’s WR1 to the tune of a three-year extension. If money is an indicator, the Cardinals are moving forward with Michael Wilson as their clear-cut WR1 after his breakout 2025 campaign.

Wilson’s 2025 breakout season was a true tale of two halves. Prior to Week 10, he was averaging just under 4 targets and 25 yards per game. That changed when Marvin Harrison Jr. underwent an emergency appendectomy following a Week 9 matchup against the Seahawks. Thrust into a depleted receiver room alongside Trey McBride, Wilson stepped up as a primary focal point of the offense, averaging 10.6 targets and nearly 90 yards per game down the stretch, highlighted by five games with double-digit targets.

Presently, Michael Wilson (Dynasty WR36) and Marvin Harrison (Dynasty WR31) are being valued fairly closely.  How fantasy managers choose to interpret the extension is essentially a Rorschach test for the plausibility of Marvin Harrison Jr.’s 2026 redemption narrative.
