The 2026 NFL Draft is now just over a month away, and while my latest Big Board update (check it out right here!) doesn’t feature sweeping changes, there are important tweaks throughout the rankings that reflect post-combine evaluations and continued film work. This is more of a refinement phase than a reshuffle. The time to tighten tiers, adjust ranges, and let the full body of work speak for itself.
That said, this is not the final version. A much larger update is coming, with significant player additions and deeper expansion, all as we move closer to draft night in Pittsburgh.

New King of the Board
At the top, there’s a new name wearing the crown. Fernando Mendoza now occupies the throne as the No. 1 overall player. The Indiana quarterback continues to check every box you look for in a modern NFL signal-caller. He’s got the size, poise, functional athleticism, and the ability to operate both in structure and when things break down. As the class has settled and evaluations have sharpened, the Heisman-winning Hoosier product’s combination of floor and upside has separated him from the rest of the field. All hail the new standard at the top of the NFL Draft big board in 2026.

Kenyon Sadiq: Rocket Man
Few players in the class are climbing faster than Kenyon Sadiq, who is now firmly attached to a rocket ship headed straight to the moon. Sadiq jumps 12 spots and now sits at No. 22 overall, cementing himself as one of the biggest risers in this cycle. His blend of size, athleticism, and mismatch ability has become impossible to ignore, especially coming out of the combine. Sadiq is quickly emerging as a player who can impact the game in multiple ways. He carries legitimate first-round value given his high upside and blocking ability.
New to the Top 50
Malachi Lawrence is the EDGE in this class that I could see being drafted above a few (or a bunch) of the names we see regularly in the mid-late first round in mocks.

Another major “mover and shaker” is Malachi Lawrence, who has surged into the Top 50 and now lands at No. 48 overall after a whopping 19-spot rise. Lawrence’s trajectory reflects a player whose traits and flashes are starting to translate into a more complete evaluation. The tools have always been there, but the consistency and projection are now catching up. Lawrence is now one of the more intriguing edge defenders in the class as teams search for developmental pass rushers with upside.
As the calendar turns toward April, this version of the Big Board serves as a checkpoint rather than a final statement. The foundation is set, the tiers are taking shape, and the evaluations are becoming more refined. However, there is still more to come. With pro days, final evaluations, and deeper dives into the class ahead, expect a major update soon. We’ll expand the board and introduce a wave of new names into the conversation.
