Travis Etienne Eying Kansas City In Free Agency?

Jacksonville’s leading rusher could be looking for a change of scenery next season.

For the past few seasons, Kansas City has been listed as a dream landing spot for any productive running back with a pulse. It makes sense — the Chiefs haven’t had a 1,000-yard rusher since Kareem Hunt’s rookie year in 2017. However, that drought could be coming to an end. According to Kansas City Star beat writer Pete Sweeney, veteran Travis Etienne has interest in signing with the Chiefs once free agency starts.

The former first-round pick would bring some much-needed juice to the backfield. Etienne has three seasons with over 1,000 rushing yards under his belt and is coming off a highly productive 2025 season. The 27-year-old had 1,399 total yards, 36 receptions, and a career-high 13 TDs. In fantasy, a move to Kansas City would give Etienne clear RB1 upside in Andy Reid’s offense while playing alongside Patrick Mahomes.
