Gutenkunst, the team’s GM since 2018, played a key role in the hiring of LaFleur and the drafting of QB Jordan Love. Team president Ed Policy cited continuity as a priority, preferring to avoid contract-year uncertainty at head coach or general manager.

LaFleur’s offense is widely respected around the league despite recent postseason frustrations, and Jordan Love has shown that he can operate effectively within it. Love’s 2025 fantasy season was an inconsistent, unreliable roller-coaster ride, and fantasy players should expect more of the same in 2026.
