Oscar Delp Bio

Oscar Delp is a tight end and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who spent his entire four-year collegiate career at the University of Georgia. A native of Cumming, Georgia, Delp was the consensus top-ranked tight end recruit in the 2022 class, a four-star prospect from West Forsyth High School who was named a 247Sports All-American and chose Georgia over offers from Alabama, Michigan, and others. He contributed immediately as a freshman in 2022 despite sharing a room with Brock Bowers and Darnell Washington, and steadily grew into a starting role, posting 24 catches for 284 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore in 2023 and 21 catches for 248 yards and four scores in 2024. As a senior in 2025, Delp started all 14 games and tallied 20 receptions for 261 yards, finishing his career at Georgia with 70 receptions for 854 yards and nine touchdowns across 51 games while competing for a College Football Playoff berth. He played through a hairline fracture in his foot discovered during combine medicals, opting to run at Georgia's pro day instead, where he posted a verified 4.48 40-yard dash.

Standing 6 feet 5 inches and approximately 245 pounds, Delp is an athletic tight end whose speed down the seam stands out for his frame, and his pro day testing confirmed a vertical and broad jump that would have ranked among the top performers at his position at the Scouting Combine. He is used comfortably as both an inline blocker and a slot or wide alignment, giving offensive coordinators a versatile chess piece capable of creating favorable matchups against linebackers and slower safeties in the passing game. His production was naturally constrained by Georgia's scheme and the program's depth at the position throughout his career, leaving evaluators to project his ceiling more on athletic tools and tape than on volume statistics. He projects as a mid-to-late Day 2 or early Day 3 selection with the physical profile and developmental trajectory to become a genuine three-down contributor in a zone-heavy NFL system that values complete tight ends.
