Rookie running back Omarion Hampton returned from injured reserve for the Los Angeles Chargers and scored their only touchdown.
The Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 22-19 and Omarion Hampton provided a spark in his return from injured reserve. Hampton caught a touchdown pass early in the game, while also carrying 13 times for 56 yards.
Hampton did split the backfield evenly with Kimani Vidal, who had 14 carries for 44 yards and a big 60 yard catch on the first drive. Justin Herbert completed only 12 passes for just 139 yards, one score and one interception. Herbert did lead the team in rushing yards with 66 yards.
It was a good sign to see Hampton get as much work as he did in his return, expect Vidal to still have a role but both can be effective as a running back two or flex option for fantasy managers.

Los Angeles rookie running back Omarion Hampton is trending towards playing in Week 14 against the Eagles on Monday Night Football.
After missing seven games with an ankle injury, reports have come out that Omarion Hampton will be returning to the lineup for Week 14 to face the Eagles, who just allowed over 250 rushing yards to the Bears in Week 13.
With the return of Hampton and the emergence of Kimani Vidal, this could be a potent one-two punch for the Chargers moving forward, and they may need it as starting quarterback Justin Herbert deals with a fracture in his left hand. The snap share will be something to monitor with fantasy playoffs approaching. So far in his rookie campaign, Hampton has lived up to the hype of being selected 22nd overall, recording 314 yards and two touchdowns on 66 carries while adding 20 receptions for 136 yards.

Omarion Hampton managers will have to wait another week as he has been declared out vs. the Raiders
It has come out that Chargers rookie running back Omarion Hampton suffered a left ankle fracture Week 5 vs. the Washington Commanders. Hampton had recently begun football activities in early November to ramp up to return.
While fantasy managers will have to wait at least another week for Hampton’s return, it will be that much more rewarding when he is back in action. For fantasy teams that are still in contention, getting Hampton back cannot happen soon enough.

Hampton, who was placed on the IR after Week 5, will continue to remain out until after the Chargers’ Week 12 bye.
Omarion Hampton, the Chargers’ first-round pick in 2025, was just hitting his stride before suffering an ankle injury in Week 5. Kimani Vidal has held down the backfield in Hampton’s absence, and will continue to do so until at least Week 13. The Chargers also just lost Tackle Joe Alt for the season, which will hurt the fantasy impact of Chargers running backs for the rest of the season.

Omarion Hampton will miss the next 4 weeks due to an ankle injury.
The Chargers will be without rookie running back Omarion Hampton due to an ankle injury. This will be a minimum of 4 missed games with the possibility of more.
The move comes at a difficult time both for the Chargers and fantasy managers alike. In a season barraged by injury, Hamton’s in the latest blow to those rostering him. The Chargers will work to replace him with a mix of veteran Hassan Haskins and 2nd year back Kimani Vidal.
Hampton is 4th in running back receptions (20) and his 15.4 fantasy points per game ranks No.14. Much like the quandary presented by the Cardinals backfield in losing Trey Benson, the clear lead back for the Chargers may be murky. It is best to roster one or both of Haskins and Vidal until clarity shows on gamedays.

Running backs Omarion Hampton and Kimani Vidal see opportunity surge as Najee Harris’ status remains uncertain.
Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters he’s unsure if Najee Harris will be ready for training camp, casting further doubt on an injury that was initially described as “superficial.” With Harris’ recovery timeline now murky, the situation has gone from minor concern to potential red flag. The former first-round pick is undraftable in fantasy formats until there’s clarity on the severity and return timetable.
In Harris’ absence, rookie Omarion Hampton is poised to benefit. The first-rounder has already drawn praise from the coaching staff for his pass-catching ability and could vault well beyond his current 4th-round ADP with an expanded workload in Greg Roman’s run-heavy scheme.
Second-year back Kimani Vidal has continued to see first-team reps alongside Justin Herbert in training camp. Given Greg Roman’s history of deploying multiple running backs, Vidal could carve out standalone value if Harris’ absence lingers.
Undrafted rookie Raheim “Rocket” Sanders is another name to monitor. He’s expected to get preseason reps—particularly in the upcoming Hall of Fame Game—and could emerge as a deep sleeper behind Hampton in the Chargers’ backfield.
