Wesley Bissainthe is an American college football linebacker and a 2026 NFL Draft prospect currently starring for the University of Miami Hurricanes. A native of Miami, he played at Miami Central High School where he developed into a four-star recruit with offers from multiple Power Five programs before committing to Miami in December 2021. Listed at around 6 ft 1 in and roughly 230 lbs, Bissainthe is known for his range, physicality and instincts as a three-down defender. He quickly earned playing time as a true freshman in 2022, finishing with 30 tackles in his first season and being named the Hurricanes’ rookie of the year due to his impact on defense.
Since then, Bissainthe has been a consistent contributor for Miami’s defense, starting multiple seasons and compiling notable stats including tackles, tackles for loss, an interception and a sack. In 2025 he continued to be a key piece of the linebacker corps, showcasing his ability to make plays against both the run and in coverage while solidifying his reputation as one of Miami’s defensive leaders.
