Bills’ wide receiver depth takes another brutal hit ahead of the Divisional Round.
Tyrell Shavers tore his ACL in the first half of the Bills-Jaguars Wild Card matchup. Remarkably, Shavers finished the game, continuing to contribute on offense and special teams despite the injury.
Buffalo’s receiver room is now dangerously thin. The Bills are likely to be without Shavers, Curtis Samuel, Josh Palmer, and Gabe Davis, who also suffered a torn ACL against Jacksonville. That leaves the team with only Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and Brandin Cooks healthy at WR heading into Denver to face a stingy Broncos defense.
From a fantasy perspective, the Bills’ long-running WR1 problem has reached a breaking point. Since Stefon Diggs’ departure, fantasy managers have been begging for a true alpha to emerge, and this postseason stretch may force Buffalo’s hand. While the team re-signed Shakir and invested a 1st round pick in Coleman, neither has stepped up the way Buffalo had hoped. Expect Buffalo to aggressively explore wide receiver in the 2026 Draft, with late 1st round prospects like Denzel Boston, KC Concepcion, and Elijah Sarratt on the radar.

The waiver wire will be hot for Bills wide receiver Tyrell Shavers.
After Keon Coleman got benched in Week 11, Tyrell Shavers had a big day for fantasy football. He is PlayerProfiler’s top trending player. Heading into Monday Night Football he is the WR9 on the week.
Shavers had 19 fantasy points on a 4-90-1 receiving line and will certainly garner attention on the waiver wire this week. The Bills will face the challenging Texans defense for a quick turnaround on Thursday Night Football. With Josh Allen throwing him the ball, Shavers is worth a pick up considering there will be no Ja’Marr Chase (suspension) or Drake London (injury) available.
