Trinidad Chambliss is a quarterback and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who played his final collegiate season at the University of Mississippi after beginning his career at Ferris State University. A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Chambliss was a multi-sport standout and earned AP all-state recognition in both football and basketball, but did not attract Division I scholarship offers and enrolled at Division II Ferris State on a partial scholarship. Over four seasons with the Bulldogs he developed into one of the most productive quarterbacks at the Division II level, helping lead the program to its third national championship in 2024. He transferred to Ole Miss for the 2025 season, initially slated as a backup before taking over the starting role in Week 3 when Austin Simmons suffered an ankle injury. From that point he was exceptional, throwing for 3,937 yards and 22 touchdowns against just three interceptions on a 66 percent completion rate across 15 games, adding 527 rushing yards and eight scores on the ground. He earned SEC Newcomer of the Year and Second Team All-SEC recognition and led the Rebels to the College Football Playoff semifinal, becoming the first SEC quarterback in 30 years to post three consecutive games with 300 passing yards and 50 rushing yards. After the NCAA denied his appeal for an additional year of eligibility in early 2026, Chambliss declared for the draft.
Chambliss is an undersized quarterback at approximately 5-11 and 205 pounds, but he compensates with a live arm, genuine dual-threat ability, a quick release, and elite improvisational skill when plays break down outside the pocket. His arm talent allows him to challenge all three levels of the field, and his rushing ability has drawn comparisons to Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson for the way he keeps plays alive and extends drives under pressure.
