Ted Hurst is a wide receiver and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who finished his collegiate career at Georgia State after two seasons at Division II Valdosta State. A native of Savannah, Georgia, Hurst was an unrated recruit who joined Valdosta State in the 2022 class and quickly made himself known, recording 68 catches for 1,027 yards and 10 touchdowns across two seasons with the Blazers before entering the transfer portal and earning a three-star grade. He joined Georgia State for the 2024 season and was immediately productive, posting 56 receptions for 961 yards and a program-record nine touchdowns while earning second-team All-Sun Belt honors. He returned for 2025 and had another strong campaign, catching 71 passes for 1,004 yards and six touchdowns, earning first-team All-Sun Belt recognition, a spot on Bruce Feldman's Freaks List, and an invitation to the Senior Bowl, where he showcased his tools against Power Five competition.
Measured at 6-foot-3 and approximately 195 to 206 pounds, Hurst posted a 4.42 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine along with an 11-foot-3 broad jump and a 36.5-inch vertical, confirming the elite athletic profile that first drew attention at the Group of Five level. He is a long-striding boundary receiver with a massive catch radius, outstanding contested-catch conversion rates near the 95th percentile among receivers in his class per PFF, and the ability to work all three receiver alignments at the X, Y, and Z spots.
