Thompson would pick up 115 yards and 3 TDs in four games as a True Freshman before redshirting. He'd return to lead Texas Tech with 765 rushing yards and 12 TDs, adding 154 yards on an impressive 39 receptions, receiving Honorable Mention All-Big-12 recognition for his efforts.
