Daniel Jones Season is Over

After leading an inspiring career comeback, Daniel Jones will miss the rest of the season due to a torn Achilles.

Daniel Jones has seen his season abruptly end due to a torn Achilles. The injury occurred in a devastating loss to the division rival Jaguars.

With his comeback put on pause, Jones will likely end up signing a 1-year prove it deal to remain with the Colts. The timeline of his rehabilitation remains to be seen. In a surprise move, the Colts had Chargers legend Philip Rivers on speed dial. Rivers has signed to the practice squad and has a real shot to play week 15 against the Seahawks. This would be an immediate revival for Tyler Warren, Michael Pittman Jr., Jonathan Taylor, and company.

Philip Rivers to Visit the Colts

With Daniels Jones sidelined from a torn Achilles, Philip Rivers will have a workout with the Colts.

The Colts suffered 2 dramatic losses on Sunday. One to the division rival Jaguars to the tune of 36-19 and also in the form of starting quarterback Daniel Jones tearing his Achilles to end his season.

With the Colts fighting to salvage what was a promising start to their season, they will bring in Philip Rivers for a visit and workout tomorrow. The NC State and Chargers legend had a one year stint with the Colts in 2020 where they made the playoffs. Should Rivers play Sunday, that would be a dramatic boost all things considered. If Rivers can still sling it, fantasy gamers can hope Rivers will buoy the Colts weapons ala Jameis Winston and Joe Flacco.

UPDATE: Philip Rivers has signed with the Colts and could play as soon as this Sunday against the Seahawks.
