Maxen Hook Bio

Maxen Hook is a seasoned safety who played for the Toledo Rockets before entering the 2025 NFL Draft. Hailing from New Palestine, Indiana, Hook began his collegiate career as a special teams contributor in 2020. He quickly ascended to a starting role in 2021 and earned All-MAC honors in each of his final four seasons, culminating in first-team selections in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Over his career, Hook accumulated 356 tackles, seven interceptions, and 15 pass breakups, showcasing his consistency and leadership on the field. In the 2024 season, he led the Rockets with 107 tackles and participated in Senior Bowl workouts, although an injury prevented him from playing in the game.

Following his standout college career, Hook was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent. Scouting reports highlight his well-developed tackling technique, advanced mental processing, and versatility, noting his ability to play both in the box and as a deep safety. However, concerns about his man coverage skills and long speed have been noted. Despite these concerns, Hook's experience, leadership, and special teams prowess are expected to make him a valuable asset to the Eagles' defense.
