Jonathan Mingo Bio

Jonathan Mingo entered Ole Miss as a four-star recruit from the 2019 recruiting class. Over his first three seasons as a Rebel, he was not heavily featured in the offense, never exceeding 400 yards receiving and playing behind megaproducer and future NFL second-round pick Elijah Moore in 2019 and 2020.

After totaling just 897 receiving yards on 61 receptions through his first three seasons, Mingo nearly doubled his career totals in the 2022 season. He finished second on the team in receptions (51) and receiving yards (861), playing behind Mississippi State transfer Malik Heath. Mingo also broke a single-game Ole Miss record with 247 receiving yards against Vanderbilt, the most receiving yards in a game in the country that season.

The Panthers selected Mingo in the top-50 (2.08) of the 2023 NFL Draft after selecting Bryce Young with the 1.01. Mingo ran 97.2-percent of the routes in his rookie season, but compiled just 0.80 Yards Per Route Run on a struggling offense.
