Jake Briningstool is a 6-foot-6, 240-pound tight end from Brentwood, Tennessee, who played for the Clemson Tigers during the 2021–2024 college football seasons. Over his four-year career, Briningstool became Clemson's all-time leader in career receptions by a tight end, surpassing Jordan Leggett's previous record. He recorded 127 receptions for 1,380 yards and 17 touchdowns in 1,982 offensive snaps over 48 games (26 starts) . In his senior year (2024), Briningstool caught 49 passes for 530 yards and seven touchdowns, earning third-team All-ACC honors and being named a permanent team captain .
Briningstool's collegiate achievements include setting a Clemson record for the most receiving yards by a tight end in a single game with 126 yards against Miami in 2023.
