Zach Charbonnet posted a 48.8-percent Snap Share and 11.3 Fantasy Points Per Game in 2025, but his postseason ACL tear has opened a door in the Seattle backfield. While fantasy analysts often doubt undrafted players, the Seahawks coaching staff trusts George Holani in spite of his minimal efficiency, evidenced by a 3.3 Yards Per Carry average last season.

Jadarian Price has never operated as a primary back, and the newly signed Emanuel  Wilson was invisible during OTAs. Meanwhile, Holani handled passing-down work during the playoffs and could find his way into the starting lineup until Charbonnet is ready to return. Holani is a sneaky pick for Zero RB drafters looking for Week 1 production.

Zach Charbonnet is ahead of schedule as he rehabilitates a postseason ACL tear, but the idea that he could be on the field Week 1 is pure coach fiction.

If and when Charbonnet lands on the PUP list to start the season, first-round rookie Jadarian Price and George Holani will likely split the RB touches. Holani has been working most with the first team offense, but Price has been praised by coaches and will likely have a significant role Week 1. Regardless, Charbonnet is a clear buy-low target in dynasty leagues as he profile more as an every-down running back than Price and Holani.

Michael Hanich insists that “Both backs (Holani and Price) have looked the most athletic during position drills and have reportedly taken the most reps among the starting units. These are the two players in the unit that have the most expectations going into this season.” George Holani has been tasked by the coaching staff to step up for the injured Zach Charbonnet.

Meanwhile, former Green Bay Packers backup Emanuel Wilson, who signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract, and fourth-year veteran Kenny McIntosh, are battling for the team’s RB3 role. Unlike most dynasty ranking service, PlayerProfiler has Holani ahead of Wilson based on the reality on the ground in Seattle.

Zach Charbonnet was restricted to side-field work at Tuesday’s mandatory minicamp due to a knee issue. The injury limits a back who logged 184 carries and 24 red zone touches for Seattle last season.

Charbonnet’s injury recovery this summer remains critical as he seeks to improve upon an efficient 2.99 Yards Created Per Touch from his sophomore campaign. George Holani and Emanuel Wilson will take between-the-tackles touches until Charbonnet is activated from the PUP list.

Precious few running backs open their rookie season in a bell cow role, however, it is noteworthy that league insiders are already suggesting that Jadarian Price will not operate as primary back early on. Price’s struggles in pass protection and limited receiving experience will likely prevent him from ever becoming a true three-down back in the NFL.

While he is an explosive interior runner, his clear limitations on passing downs are expected to restrict his immediate usage. Consequently, Price will likely split work with Emanuel Wilson and George Holani in Week 1, making him a fringe starter in fantasy football with delayed gratification in dynasty leagues.

Holani went to Boise State and showed elite explosive traits at the combine. He finished top 3 at running back in the broad jump and vertical jump, and tied for 10th in the 40-yard dash among running backs at 4.52 seconds.

While he missed games in 2023, he rushed for over 1,100 yards and scored 10 TDs in 2022. He’s on the outside looking in when it comes fantasy relevance, but his solid combine showing will certainly help him when it comes to earning an NFL roster spot.
