David Walker Bio

David Walker is a standout edge rusher from the University of Central Arkansas, making a significant impact in the 2025 NFL Draft. Standing 6'1" and weighing 263 pounds, Walker began his collegiate career at Southern Arkansas before transferring to Central Arkansas. Over three seasons, he accumulated 191 tackles, 63 tackles for loss, 31 sacks, and six forced fumbles. His exceptional performance earned him the prestigious Buck Buchanan Award in 2024, recognizing him as the top defensive player in the FCS. Additionally, he was named the United Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

Despite competing at the FCS level, Walker showcased his skills at the Senior Bowl, impressing scouts with his explosive bull rush and ability to disrupt plays. While his size and arm length are considered below average for an NFL edge rusher, his athleticism and effective hand usage make him a compelling prospect. Projected as a 4th–5th round pick, Walker's high motor and potential for development suggest he could become a valuable rotational player and possibly a full-time starter in the NFL.
