Cody Simon Bio

Cody Simon is a seasoned linebacker who concluded his collegiate career at Ohio State University in 2024. Standing 6'2" and weighing 235 pounds, Simon hails from Jersey City, New Jersey, and played for St. Peter’s Prep before joining the Buckeyes. Over his five-year tenure at Ohio State, he appeared in 59 games, starting 30, and amassed 259 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, 11 pass breakups, and four quarterback hurries . In his senior season, Simon led the team with 112 tackles and earned first-team All-Big Ten honors. He was also named the defensive MVP in both the Rose Bowl and the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

Following his successful college career, Simon was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft . Known for his leadership, strong diagnostic skills, and competitive nature, he is expected to contribute to the Cardinals' defense, particularly in a rotational role. While his athleticism and coverage skills may be areas for development, Simon's experience and football IQ make him a valuable asset to the team.​
