Aqeel Glass Bio

Aqeel Glass is probably the one QB you're not familiar with. He was labeled a pro-style QB and ranked 2 stars coming out of high school. He hasnt received the noteriety that the other quarterbacks in this class received because he attended an HBCU, Alabama A&M. WIth his career stats backing him up, Aqeel Glass is making sure you know who he is. The St. Louis native put up big numbers during his 5 years as a Bulldog.

To start, Glass is the biggest quarterback prospect in the 2022 class. He's listed at 6-5 215 and plays just as big. Aqeel started 9 games for the Bulldogs in 2017. He broke out against Texas Southern University where he threw for 337 yards and 2 touchdowns. He improved his game in 2018 where he put up over 2400 yards and 20 TDs through the air. 2019 is when he really hit his stride throwing for 33 touchdowns and leading the SWAC in completions, yards, and yards per game. He ended his junior season as the program’s career touchdown passing leader (57 TDs) and single season passing yard leader (3,600 yards). Like most other players, he took a step back in 2020, but bounced back in 2021 with 3,568 passing yards and 36 touchdowns.

Typically when players come back as graduates, it means that there was some short coming or something they wanted to improve to boost their draft stock. That's not the case with Aqeel Glass. He earned his degree in civil enginering and chose to come back in order to get his graduate degree in systems and material engineering.

Aqeel Glass was an UDFA following the NFL 2022 Draft and received an NFL rookie camp invite from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was always a longshot for Glass to get drafted, but he’ll need to really outwork the competition wherever he goes to get on a starting roster.
