San Francisco Confirms Torn Achilles for Kittle

Veteran tight end George Kittle has torn his Achilles tendon in today’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles

San Francisco will be without one of their key pieces moving forward on the road to a Lombardi trophy. Reports have confirmed George Kittle has torn his Achilles Tendon in the team’s 23-19 win against the Philadelphia Eagles in today’s NFC wild card game. Kittle left the game in the second quarter after recording his only catch of the game.

Kittle has had an injury-riddled season, dealing with multiple issues. It was the first season since 2021 that he did not play more than 14 games or finish as a top-five scoring tight end. He recorded 57 receptions for 628 yards and seven touchdowns. Kittle will still be on fantasy radars heading into 2026, and managers should look to take advantage of an injury dip in all dynasty formats and seasonal drafts in the offseason. Look for Jake Tonges to fill in for the injured Kittle as the 49ers take on the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Divisional game.
