Patrick Mahomes
Patrick Mahomes Back-to-Back Top Quarterback in the NFL by High Ranking NFL Personnel
5 months ago

In a survey of NFL executives, coaches, and scouts, Patrick Mahomes is top ranked quarterback again.

ESPN conducted a survey with varies NFL Executives, Coaches, and Scouts to rank each position.  At the quarterback position, it was determined that Patrick Mahomes was once again the top quarterback.  He stayed put at the top spot in back-to-back years.  However, the gap is closing, whereas last year he received every first-place vote, except for one, compared to this year only receiving 60% of first place votes.

With Mahomes throwing for 3,928 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions on a declining offensive line and aging tight end he will need to produce better numbers this incoming season if he is wanting to be ranked first once again.

On this list the youth is prevailing to be the cornerstone of the NFL.  On the list there is only ONE player that is over the age of 30 (37 Years Old), which is Matthew Stafford (Ranked 6th).  While seven of these quarterbacks were on the list last year, we did have 3 who made it this year.  Jayden Daniels was not eligible due to being a rookie last season he is currently ranked 5th and should be on this list for years to come, but we also have Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts making it as well ranking 9th.  He was honorable mention on last year’s list.  Finally, Baker Mayfield rounds out the top 10 in his first appearance on this list.

While Mahomes finished 1st on this list, don’t let that sway you to thinking his is number one for fantasy, where he finished as QB 11.  But this list did have 7 of the top 10 fantasy quarterbacks so they are doing something right.
