LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier had a strong outing at the NFL Combine, showing his potential as NFL teams look on.
Nussmeier opted out of most athletic testing at the NFL combine, but had a strong showing in the throwing drills, potentially boosting his draft stock. Nussmeier could be the third quarterback selected in the draft and projects to be a Day 2 or 3 pick, with teams such as the New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, and Miami Dolphins searching for a quarterback.
Known as a gunslinger at LSU, Nussmeier’s movement and velocity on his throws seemed to be more evident, and we could be seeing that he is fully healthy after dealing with an oblique injury in 2025. A healthy performance could be a key takeaway for NFL teams heading into the draft, as it gives them a chance to see the skill set Nussmeier possesses. On FastDraft Origins, Nussmeier currently has an ADP of 23.2
