Jonathan Taylor leads the way for top fantasy finishes behind a 100-yard, 3 TD performance.

The Indianapolis Colts’ surprising start to the first three weeks of the NFL season has resulted in Jonathan Taylor being the leading candidate for Fantasy MVP. Taylor has 68 touches for 431 total yards and 4 total touchdowns, after dismantling the Titans’ defense on Sunday. His 75.1 total fantasy points lead all players, including quarterbacks, as he’s off to a significantly better start than even his 2021 season, in which he finished as the RB1.

With Daniel Jones behind center, the Colts’ offense has been historically effective. That’s not an overstatement; the offense completed more drives before having to punt than any other team in the sport’s history. They’re currently second in both yards (418.7) and points (34.3) per game and show no signs of slowing down.

The Colts get the Rams, Raiders, and Cardinals the next three weeks. The Rams front-7 will most likely provide Taylor’s biggest test on paper, even though the Cardinals are currently top-5 in the league in rushing defense. Neither team figures to be able to slow down the Colts’ running game the way they’re rolling right now. Taylor will be a top 5 play at the position going forward, regardless of opponent.
