The Dallas Cowboys franchise quarterback will be handling most of the first team reps in voluntary OTAs this season
Dak Prescott fell severely short of expectations in 2024, setting career lows in nearly all passing stats (Passer rating, QBR, TD %, Yards per attempt and career second worst completion %) before suffering a season ending hamstring tear in week 9. Those results weren’t solely on Dak’s shoulders, the veteran QB has had to weather a long history of Cowboys front office decisions that have slowly eroded talent from the once vaunted offense, however with the recent 2025 draft, we may finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Prescott has alternated between up and down seasons in fantasy football his whole career, oscillating between 17 and 21 points per game seemingly every other year. By all accounts 2025 should be an up year for Dak. The Cowboys added another first round offensive lineman to their starting lineup – the third first rounder on their roster, they added 2 veteran running backs with pass catching prowess and drafted an explosive rookie in the later rounds to shore up the run game, and they traded for George Pickens to provide Dak with the best receiver tandem he’s worked with since CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper. All this and Dak is still going way to late in all fantasy draft formats.
