Schedule Analysis

Unsurprisingly, last year’s Super Bowl participants are featured heavily in the leaked schedule. The AFC champion Chiefs and the defending champion Eagles figure to be favorites again in their divisions and fixtures atop their respective conferences.

The Minnesota Vikings will become the first team to play back-ão-back games in Europe, taking on the Browns and the Steelers in consecutive weeks.  They travel to Dublin, Ireland, to play the Steelers in the first-ever NFL game in Ireland on September 28th.  The Vikings then travel to London to play the Cleveland Browns on October 5th.

The Dallas Cowboys only make two appearances in the leak.  They host their inaugural Turkey Day tilt in the Jerry World, along with the other Turkey Day mainstay, the Detroit Lions. They open the season in Philadelphia against Jalen Hurts and the vaunted Eagles rushing attack.

The Washington Commanders and the Miami Dolphins will also be making an international appearance.  The Commanders’ rookie sensation, Jayden Daniels, will certainly dazzle the crowd and garner a huge following.  Should the Dolphins be able to solve some of their offensive line losses, they have the skill position firepower to put on a show in Madrid.

Michael Penix and his near-nuclear cabinet of weapons with the Atlanta Falcons will represent the shield in Berlin this year.  The Indianapolis Colts have several questions about their future at the quarterback position, but Jonathan Taylor has the talent to keep them in any game.

Conclusion

The schedule release is an exciting development during the extended bye week. Navigating the extended bye week haze can sometimes be one of the most tedious tasks known to mankind. We are one day closer to American tackle football being back in full swing.  We’re all in this together, stay strong.
