Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb suffered a quad bruise in the third quarter of Thursday night’s 24-16 loss to the Buccaneers, and was unable to return to the game. The good news is, according to Ian Rapoport the injury not expected to be long-term. Lamb finished with just two catches on five targets for nine yards, a sharp drop from the three straight 100-yard games that preceded it. Lamb came into Thursday night football with a thigh issue on the injury report, but had practiced in full leading up to their matchup against Tampa Bay, where it appears he may have re-aggravated it,

In Lamb’s absence, George Pickens was the biggest beneficiary, totaling 130 receiving yards, while Ryan Flournoy contributed 90 of his own. Lamb will get an extra few days to recover before week 5, but should he miss time, Jonathan Mingo and Kavonte Turpin would be thrust into larger roles, though the two of them only have seven combined catches in 2026.
