Keaton Mitchell missed Monday’s practice and has now been sidelined for more than a week after suffering a “minor setback” with an undisclosed injury. The Chargers have provided little clarity, leaving fantasy managers stuck waiting for an official injury report before knowing whether Mitchell will be available for Week 1.

PlayerProfiler’s RB53 ranking for 2026 fantasy football highlights Mitchell’s 98th percentile Speed Score and 87th percentile Burst Score, but those athletic traits mean nothing from the sideline. Every missed practice is another reason to bump Omarion Hampton up the workload projection, Mitchell’s absence could turn into a meaningful early-season opportunity. Don’t forget about the forgotten Chargers RB Kimani Vidal too, who impressed last season when given the chance.
