Gardner Minshew has agreed to an one-year, $8.25 million deal with the Arizona Cardinals, giving the veteran signal-caller a new home from the 2026 season as part of a new revamped offense. The Cardinals intend for Jacoby Brissett to be their starter, with Minshew slated to serve as experienced backup and occasional rotational option now that Kyler Murray is gone.
From a dynasty football angle, Minshew’s signing provides very limited value outside of deep Superflex leagues. As a career backup in recent seasons, his fantasy upside hinges on injury. With Brissett firmly ahead on the depth chart and the Cardinals also eyeing younger quarterback options long-term, Minshew should be viewed more of a handcuff insurance and bench depth rather than a roster priority.
