Roman Hemby Looks to Boost Stock at the Shrine Bowl
1 day ago

Indiana’s leading rusher looks to showcase his three-down skillset.

Roman Hemby is a natural receiver out of the backfield, racking up over 1,000 receiving yards in his college career. He burst onto the scene as a sophomore, where he gained over 1,200 all-purpose yards and 11 total touchdowns at Maryland. After a pair of down years spent dealing with and recovering from a bulging disk, he transferred to Indiana in 2025. There, he tallied over 1,000 rushing yards, contributing to the Hoosiers undefeated national championship season.

Hemby is a no-nonsense, downhill runner who rarely takes losses or puts the ball on the ground. It is rare to see a running back with his running style that is also capable of breaking a long run if he gets to the edge.

Hemby is ranked #193 on the PFF Big Board, slotting him into round 6 of the NFL Draft. He should be a solid contributor to any NFL team, with upside in the right situation.
