Keon Coleman
Pegula Takes Aim at Coleman

Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula makes an unnecessary comment on Keon Coleman at the end of the year press conference.

Did anyone have Keon Coleman catching strays from the owner in a press conference to address the firing of Sean McDermott on their bingo cards? Pegula interrupted Brandon Beane from answering a question about roster construction to let the media know that drafting Keon Coleman was pushed by the coaching staff and was never Beane’s top choice. “That was Brandon being a team player. … He’s taken heat over it. I’m here to tell you the true story.”

Coleman had a tough second season for the Bills, recording 38 receptions, 404 yards, four touchdowns and was benched three times for disciplinary reasons. A relationship that was already strained now seems well on the way to being beyond repair after these comments. Coleman is still on the roster as of now. Does what Pegula said now make Buffalo an unattractive destination for a new head coach despite the opportunity of coaching one of the best quarterbacks in the league?
