Huskers star running back Emmett Johnson has declared for the 2026 NFL Draft in April.
Nebraska standout running back Emmett Johnson has declared for the 2026 NFL Draft, forgoing his Senior season, after a breakout in 2025.
As a Junior Johnson was one of the most productive backs in the country this past season. He rushed for 1,451 yards and 12 touchdowns, and adding 46 receptions for 370 receiving yards and three scores too. He led all FBS running backs in receptions out of the backfield. The 1,451 rushing yards was Nebraska’s first 1,000-yard since 2018.
In the NFL he will certainly be comped to Bucky Irving and Kyren Williams, with his rushing ability and hands out of the backfield. Expect Johnson to be a Day 2 selection come April’s Draft.
