Taylen Green Bio

Taylen Green is a quarterback and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who finished his collegiate career at the University of Arkansas after beginning his career at Boise State University. A native of Lewisville, Texas, Green was a three-star recruit who committed to Boise State, redshirted in 2021, then took over the starting role in 2022 and earned Mountain West Freshman of the Year and College Football News Freshman All-America honors after throwing for 2,042 yards and 24 total touchdowns. In 2023 he led Boise State to a conference championship and was named Mountain West Championship Game MVP before entering the transfer portal and joining Arkansas. In his first season with the Razorbacks in 2024 he started all 13 games, threw for 3,154 yards with 15 touchdowns and ran for 602 yards and eight scores while earning Liberty Bowl MVP honors. In 2025 he continued as Arkansas's starter and threw for 2,714 yards and 19 touchdowns while rushing for 777 yards and eight more scores across 11 starts, becoming the first quarterback in program history to record multiple 100-yard rushing games in a single season.

Officially measured at 6-foot-6 and 227 pounds at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, Green delivered one of the most historically impressive quarterback athletic performances in combine history, posting a 43.5-inch vertical jump and an 11-foot-2 broad jump to break records previously held by Anthony Richardson, while his official 4.36-second 40-yard dash stands as one of the fastest times ever recorded by a quarterback. The combination of his elite frame, arm strength capable of driving the ball to all three levels, and genuine dual-threat explosiveness as a runner has drawn serious NFL interest despite inconsistencies as a pocket passer, including tendencies to abandon workable pockets prematurely and take on hero-ball risk on tight-window throws. His mechanics require development, and teams view him as a raw, high-ceiling project whose NFL value is most likely unlocked in mobile-quarterback schemes built around RPOs and designed runs. Green projects as a Day 3 selection whose record-breaking combine performance elevated his stock considerably, and he represents one of the draft class's most compelling developmental investments for a team willing to build an offense around his physical gifts.
