Burton posted similar numbers as a sophomore, but then transferred to Alabama. He then led the Crimson Tide in receiving for 2 years, despite never reaching a 1,000 yards. He was praised for his route running ability but fell in the draft to the 3rd round due to character concerns. The character concerns likely led to him being in the doghouse for his rookie year as he only had 4 catches for 104 yards on 14 targets in 14 games.
