The Denver Broncos have informed former Superbowl winning QB Russell Wilson that he will be released next week.

The Denver Broncos have informed former Superbowl winning QB Russell Wilson that he will be released next week when the new new begins. Wilson’s contract might go down as one of the worst contracts in NFL history, the Broncos are now on the hook for $85 million over the next two seasons as a result of cutting him before his contract expired.

 

 

 

In 2 years with the Broncos, Wilson played 30 games, throwing for 6594 yards, 42 touchdowns, 19 interceptions, with a completion percentage of 63%.  Wilson will now be free to sign with whichever team he wants. The betting odds have the Steelers as the front runners to land Wilson, with Raiders and the Falcons also in the mix to  sign the former Superbowl winning quarterback
