Rome Odunze Bio

Rome Odunze is a receiver for the Chicago Bears. Odunze was graded as a four star prospect coming out of Las Vegas. Perhaps his greatest accomplishment there was when he was named Gatorade Football Player of the Year for the state of Nevada. He would go on to sign with the Washington Huskies. His first two seasons were modest, but flashes of his brilliant play showed his junior season when he finished with 1,175 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He would save his best efforts for his Senior season, finishing with over 1,600 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns.

During the draft process, some scouts continued to rave about the potential for Odunze to be bust-proof because of his work ethic paired with his remarkable skill set. Odunze would be drafted in the 1st round with the 9th pick in the NFL draft by the Chicago Bears. He will join a talented receiver room with both D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen, so while it may take a while for him to receive a steady number of targets each game, he projects to be a solid long term asset paired with superstar quarterback Caleb Williams.
