Donovan Edwards is a 6-foot-1, 212-pound running back from West Bloomfield, Michigan, who played for the University of Michigan Wolverines from 2021 to 2024. A consensus four-star recruit, he quickly made an impact as a true freshman, contributing both as a rusher and receiver. Over his college career, he appeared in 38 games, earning three varsity letters and numerous awards. Edwards' sophomore season in 2022 was particularly outstanding as he rushed for 991 yards on 140 carries, scoring seven touchdowns and adding 200 receiving yards. Despite playing second fiddle to Blake Corum in 2023, Edwards still showcased his talent, especially in the CFP National Championship game where he had 104 yards and two touchdowns on just six carries.
Edwards declared for the 2025 NFL Draft after his senior season, where he rushed for 589 yards and four touchdowns, and caught 18 passes for 83 yards and one touchdown. He showcased his athleticism at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, running a 4.45-second 40-yard dash and completing 23 bench press reps. His performance at the Senior Bowl and Combine has elevated his draft stock, positioning him as a potential early Day 3 selection or even sneaking into the late Day 2 conversation.
