The Cincinnati Bengals have released their first depth chart ahead of week 1 of the preseason.
The Cincinnati Bengals came out with their first depth chart ahead of their first preseason game. One will see the obvious which is Joe Burrow as the starting quarterback, as well as Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins as the top two wide outs. After a running back one finish last season make another no surprise that Chase Brown is labeled as their starter at running back.
Some surprises on the depth chart though are perhaps that Andrei Iosivas is still holding onto the number three wideout over last year’s rookie Jermain Burton. But this is not the most surprising part when looking at this depth chart, that belongs to Drew Sample being labeled as the starter over Mike Gesicki and newly signed free agent Noah Fant. I don’t believe this will last long into the season but is does raise some eyes and must be monitored going into the season. Last little bit that I believe will shake out is Samaje Perine as the backup running back to Brown. Earlier this week Zach Moss was released but I would fully expect rookie Tahj Brooks to grip ahold of the backup duties to Brown once the season starts.
